i forgot who was asking or what section it was in, but here is the pic of a nos GM cowl hood. the point was to show that the places where the flapper and parts bolt to the hood was welded nuts on gm verses no weld nuts on repro hoods. you can see the weld nuts in several places here. i believe that is the only way to tell if it is gm or not. i could be wrong but i have seen plenty of repro hoods that do not have weld nut at all. i guess you would put clip nuts there? well anyway someone asked for a pic here it is. is this a valid conformation that a cowl hood is original?
