The build sheet for my '71 SS says rear shock code "AW" "AW". Any idea what type of shock this is? The SS currently has rear air shocks but I don't think this is stock. Thanks for any information.

The "AW" prefix in box #18 is an F-41 suspension Spiral shock absorber callout.Also known as Part# 3197677,it's a very difficult shock to find in it's own right.

"BK" should be the callout in box #17 for the Chevelle F-41 front spiral,Part #3192974.

Rear Air shocks were available on SS Monte Carlos & Chevelles/Elcos at the factory under RPO G-67,and have an "FZ" & "FY" callout,part #3197337 LH,& #3197338 RH.
