Just got my parts from ground up today! graemlins/hurray.gif Have a couple of questions:

1. Should the three holes on the flanges of the inner and outer wheelhouses line up? If so, should I punch plug holes in one and weld them together then install it as one piece?

2. Can I put them in and weld them on, or should I wait until I get the replacement 1/4 panel to check the fit? I would really like to get them installed so that I can adress some issues with my package tray that I can't do until I get the trunk hinge support repositioned.

I've replaced several 1/4's before, but never the wheelwell's, just want all the info I can get before I get started. Don't want to ruin some spendy item's, or screw it up from the get go. Thanks for the replies, Dave

I'm getting ready to install wheel wells too and to my knowledge those little holes mean nothing. I would wait to get your quarter before you decide to weld stuff. Put it all together with self tapping screws first. the inner goes on first (usually with the 1/4 off I’m doing mine with it on... some how) followed by the outer which is clamped into place then temporarily screwed into place then once you get the 1/4 fitted you can weld it all together. This way if the 1/4 doesn’t fit like you wanted you won’t have to go and weld the wheel wells apart because it’s held together with screws so aligning stuff is much easier.

Good luck, Tom

i installed both sides inner and outer wells also had the complete speakershelf out and the trunk floor and whole ass end that bumper bolts to. NOW for your question. DO not get in a hurry with this you will regret it. wait until all panels are there. then work slow.the holes in the wheelwells do line up as you asked. most of mine did anyway. one was a bit off. graemlins/thumbsup.gif

oh yea and there is one other thing you need to remember. make a note on which side of the wheelwell flange the orginals attach. on the inside of car. i had a bit of trouble with mine then realized it was on wrong side of flange. just a suggestion
