I just finished the instructions on converting my 72 SS dash harness to work on my 70 engine and lamp harness. I ran into some problems. I have 2 extra wires and 1 set that says it should have no wires but does.

Okay here's what I have.

Dark blue wire that came out of DY. Don't know where it goes
Black wire that came out of AW. Same problem no home for it.
Instructions state that AX is TCS solenoid (no wire) but I have a tan and yellow wire in there. Just to clarify I have 2 wires spliced together going into AX.

I really could use some help quick as my dash is ready to go back in the car but I can't until I get this fixed.

Any help would be GREATLY appreciated.

I am not the expert on gauge conversions, but with using a 72 dash harness on a 70 you will have some extra wires, and the seat belt light is one of them.

You could be right but what I don't understand is that the wires are in the bulkhead connector so they run to either the engine harness or forward lamp harness. So the wires I'm confused about are probably something different.

I checked the new harness against the old one and it looks like every wire is there so I'm not overly concerned about it.
