I have asked in the past, however my stock heat soaked starter dumped today and I am headed out Monda=y as soon as the parts stores open to get a new one? Question is what one? Has anybody used G.M.'s or can someone rec. one that they have used for a while with confidence? and do you have any clearance probs with headers? Iam off to see the wizard.

I picked up a new started from a local Chevy dealer a couple months ago. I picked up one of the new gear reduction ones that they are putting on all the new v8's. Saves a few pounds, is have the size, and so far I haven't had any problems with it. It also sounds pretty cool, kinda like a mopar starter. Good luck with it!
