hi Guys , i bought both front fender extentions for my 71 chevelle , after i got home i took the chrome trim off and the len's say wagon or elcamino only, will theses extentions work on my 71 2 dr ht or do they only fit wagons and elcaminos, i dont have the originals to compare to,they were lost in the crash

Sorry, but el caminos and cars stopped sharing the fender extensions (holds the turn signal lens right?) starting in 1970. If you look at a car's fender from 70-72 there's this cool body line crease, kinda like the decals on a GTO judge of the time. El Caminos of these same years are just a simple rounded contour. The lenses themselves are even different sizes I don't remember which is bigger or smaller but I happened to buy one off a '72 2 door car for $5 back in the day, and it wouldn't fit my '72 EC. Still got the lens, figured why throw away $5. Probably get a few sheckles for it now I guess. :D
