I'm looking for a decent multi-meter to put in my toolbox. I need something to help me set dwell, check voltage, RPM, etc.

Can someone link some recommentations, please? I'd prefer, if possible, to keep it under $100.

Thanks in advance.

Thanks for the reply. I used to have one like this from Sears (Craftsman).

I wonder if there is a digital version of this tool.

You can get the same thing from Summit: http://store.summitracing.com/partdetail.asp?autofilter=1&part=SUN%2DCP7605&N=115&autoview=sku

You can usually get one for a fairly reasonable price locally at most good auto parts stores and save on the shipping cost. I got my Acton one for $30 on sale. I had a Craftsman one that was identical (probably made by Acton since it was so similar) which worked great for years until I dropped it one too many times.

Of course now that the truck has an HEI and the Chevelles have Pertronix I really don't use it for much except to set idle speed.
