Definitely a "10" on the "There's Something You Don't See Everyday" scale.

Very cool!

Dont be fooled in think that the front end was lowered, those are likely 500# springs being compressed by all that weight :P Honestly I dont like it, ppl were calling a nice Renault rice in another thread, this is more rice to me (even though I wouldnt go that far in this case).

All that and it might be a dog- how much horsepower do you think those things are sucking up? Whatever the back of the crank is trying to put out is being negated by the front of the crank holding it back!

I think the people that brought up the technical issues make sense, stacked blowers are pointless.

The CAR was the easy part,

Training a HUGE RAT wearing a "RF" t-shirt to drive it is going to be harder ;)

Probably need to mount the shifter above the roof line for the RAT :D

If I was going to go the twin blower route I would have mounted them at 45* not stacked and with a huge spacer at the bottom. That's the stupidest and ugliest thing I've seen in a long time. The car looks nice though. What a waste of a nice car.

I saw the car before it was blown and recently in OC and it had one blower on it and the front end was just as low. I doubt the weight of the engine is why its low. You can say what you will about the car but it wouldnt suprize me if it shows up in Hot Rod Magazine. It seems like it's always the most popular car at the cruize-ins. I'll be suprized if he ever gets it to run good on the track AND the street. I like it!

Andy69

wouldn't it make more sense just to have a very high volume blower?

I was just joking about the weight causing the springs to compress, hense the :P :)

Your probably right it will win a lot of shows, get in magazines, and have a lot of know-nothing people drooling all over it. If your a performance enthusiest, then you'll realise why stacked superchargers is very very stupid.

exactly...domestic rice, it'll be popular and "cool" but anyone who knows anything will know its stupid, gawdy, and pointless other than being a lazy way to get attention to the car

no different than a huge wing to me, there should NEVER be anything added to a car that goes anywhere near above the roofline

That's just plain stupid. :clonk:

I wonder if this person ever heard that you can change the pullies to get more boost.

But hey to each there own I guess.

Uhmmmmm, why? That set up is hideous and really takes AWAY from the car, IMHO. Got it give him kudo's for creativity but gheesh, remove one of them huffers already!

And the rear tires are too small, and the side pipes missing...

Funny how no one on this forum cares for it but the Pontiac guys seem to approve.

Its a pretty nice car, otherwise. I like the paint job, too.

With all that, the guy mentioned the "pypes" sticker on the window.

To each his own, and that definately is his own...

Whats funny is, he DOES mention the pypes sticker, but later comments on how it is currently open headers...

Didn't have time to put the exhaust on, but Putting the big sticker on the windshield was TOP Priority! :D

If he wanted to find his car in the mall parking lot, it would have been easier to put a ball on the top of his antenna :)

It's definitely not for me. It looks like it needs side supports just to keep from flopping over on it's side.

As said before, to each his own. I'm sure it's likely slower than if he had one blower tuned correctly.

He better throw some tie-downs over those babies, once they get caught in a good cross wind that Lego stack is coming down:D . Love the color, but the amount of engine versus the front ride height just does not jive for me.

So one blower force inducts the other right below it. Somehow I just dont see that kind of turbelence making any horsepower. Plus the fact that most laws prohibit that sort of stuff blocking your vision that much. I have to say the belt system up above is kind of cool though.

Dan,

I thought that car looked familiar, so it was at Ocean City this month? You are right, it always had a crowd around it, although not my cup of tea.

I read more of the other forum where the guy posts on, and he was all about getting attention. "My gets noticed all the time". He's like a chick getting a boob job, just wants people to acknowedge his car.

The car would be awesome if it just had a single blower (no intercooler), but again its his car, and he loves it. As long as ppl look at it (for good or bad), its what he wants.

... ppl were calling a nice Renault rice in another thread, this is more rice to me ....

Renault isn't rice. Renault is baguette.
US cars are corn
Skoda cars are potatoes
Volvos and saabs are lefse
Ferraris and fiats are pasta
etc. :D :D
Just kidding. I get your point

I think it's fine. If he likes it that way, more power to him. Looks like a hot wheels car from the 70s. I'd rather see him build it the way he likes than do a 100-point resto, sell for a million bucks and drive the price up before I can get one.
