Hey guys,
Has anybody put one of GM's fast burn engines, or even just a set of the Fastburn aluminum heads, into a 71 or 72 Chevelle ? If so, what headers did you use ? Any problems with them fitting as far as starter, oil filter etc ?

Bill,
I built a Fastburn headed engine for a customer.
The header flanges had to be built up and port matched to fit.
IMHO not worth the effort,he shoulda bought Brodix or Darts.

Rod,
Wally in the trans forum has had nothing but problems with his. He even had a custom set of headers made and they still are not right.
I really wanted to try and build a mostly GM engine for the Heavy Chevy, Fastburn heads and a bowTie block at minimum, but the more I hear, the more I am thinking about Brodix myself.
I guess I will see what any others have to say.
The only other thought is to use a set of adapter flange, race type headers.

I've sold a few dozen sets of these heads, and as many crate engines with them, and haven't had anyone mention headers/exhaust being a problem.
