I have a crack about 40 cm behind the left rear wheel and a rust hole behind the right front wheel. How much wud it cost to fix this. Im 14 years old and my job doesnt pay much i have about 500 dollars to work with. is this not enough to fix it and should i sell my car and find another chevy?? Or is there still hope

So, both of those bad spots are on the frame itself and not the body right? Then I say to fire up the gas welder and overlay patches on the damaged areas. Then get some Por-15 and seal up your finished handiwork.
Borrow the welding rig or rent one, you should have plenty of money left over from your $500 budget.
Good luck, Thomas

I agree with Bomber67, fix it. I have pictures of the rust holes I repaired on my 65 frame posted on my web page. I cut the rust holes back to clean metal, welded on the new metal, dressed the weld with a grinder and painted the frame with zero rust. Zero Rust is a product I have come to like as much or better than POR 15, it's cheaper and easier to use.

Perfect time too get started.. by the time your ready too drive you'll know your car inside and out.. Remember very important is safety.. especially near break and fuel lines.. Your car is repairable... and if you save and work at it you'll have one nice ride, and know it inside and out by the time you get your license!! Good Luck.. we'll try too help in any way we can!

Thanks a lot for the replies. People told me to weld it up but theres a safety on my car. So it has to get checked up before it gets on the road. And if i weld it and the ICBC inspector doesnt like it then all the time and money ive spent goes down the drain. Ive taken pictures of the Spots and ill post them and i will show them to some of the frame repair guys and get them to give me an estimate.. Again thanks for the help
