Yesterday I was on the highway and at 60 mph with an M22 with 28in tall tires I was near 3000 rpms. I assumed that I had 3.31's in the rear but never verified. Is it possible that I could have 4.10's? Or is my factory tach that far off?

Hi Dan,your speedo could be off, maybe someone changed gear and didnt change gear in trans, tach could be off but not by much at all if you have 373.

331 with 26 inch tall tires and m20 muncie wide ratio in my velle turns approx 2600 @ 60mph.

If your close to/just under 3000 rpm @ 60 mph with taller 28 inch tires i would say you have 373 but definately not 410 thank goodness.

373 in my car with shorter 26 inch tires would turn approx 3,0000 @ 60mph so your car with the taller 28 inch tires would be just below 3k @ 60mph which is just where your at.

Have someone with a new car run ahead of you at a steady 60mph to check your speedo and tah reading .

That 454 must really pull hard with 373 geat and that new 268 voodoo.

I guess I'll have to do some more checking. I always thought I had 3.31 since I have an RV coded rear. On my build sheet I cannot read the section that has the gear ratio listed. And YES, this thing pulls very hard with the new cam. with my seatofthepantsometer I'd say it is now a solid 13 sec car.
