I've just put a CSR water pump on my car (BBC) and while I was at it I thought I would upgrade the alternator. My old alternator is a 46 amp, I would like to go to a 94 or 105 amp. The problem is the lowering bracket I'm using will not fit any of the alternators in this range. The bolt hole spacing on the bracket is 6.5 inches, the 1988 Olds part# DLG1346-5-11 spacing is 6 inches. My old alternator fits this bracket but again i would like to upgrade. Is there another alternator I can use with more amps that will fit this bracket?

I am using a alangrove (http://www.alangrovecomponents.com/B.B.Electric_Pump.htm) alternator bracket and a powermaster 140 amp alternator (12si). See this post
