I received a call today from Tri-City Plating and my bumpers are ready, considering it's THE SEASON I am trying to decide if I should drive 5 1/2 hours one way to pick them up or have UPS deliver them to my door. If I pick them up I also will have to pay Tennessee Sales Tax about $42.00 I think. I would sure hate for them to be damage in shippment, any feedback on this would be appreciated. he anyone experienced damaged bumpers from UPS or FEDd-X??? Thanks.

I just got mine from Tri City a week ago. They look great. They came wrapped good and there was no damage. They shipped them to my body man. It was by UPS. Hope this helps.

I agree, it's all in how well they are wrapped. I have had used bumpers shipped and they arrive OK, if they are wrapped good.

Thanks for the inputs guys. I appreciate the info, this morning I was STILL very undecided but I jumped in my wife's 05 Highlander and drove like hell and was there in 4 1/2 hours, very nice folks to deal with for sure, the bumpers look just great.

You drove 9 hours to pick up a set of bumpers?! When Tri-City shipped mine, they were wrapped in multiple layers of a super thick, foam-type material AND had a cardboard box wrapped around that! They also came Fed-Ex. They ship these bumpers everyday and, I'm sure, they take great pains to assure that they arrive in the same condition that they left. There is NO way, NO WAY I'd drive that distance for a bumper, unless there was a "customer benefit" waiting on the other end! :D The bumpers DO look good, though, don't they? ;)
