Why would I be bummed to get my car back after more than two months? You would think that I would be happy. Well, I suppose it was too much to expect that there wouldn't be a few problems, but I didn't expect a small, but very noticeable dent in the roof. I got the car last Friday and took it right back to the shop on Monday. The owner addressed all of my concerns about places that they didn't wet sand or buff, but claimed that the dent must have been there all along, NOT graemlins/angry.gif . A little background might help. My car was painted in 1996 and whoever did the body work used a product called Long and Strong (that is what the shop called it, probably not the right name) to fill the area where the roof met the new quarters. This caused visible flaws in the base coat. I tried to make the original paint work and wet sanded the whole car with 1500 and 2000 grit, then I buffed it. So the new shop removed the Long/Strong and applied base coat/clear coat to fix the flaws. I know every inch of this intimately and I know that the body shop is responsible for this dent  . The owner doesn't see it that way but said he would see if his body guy could wiggle the dent out. I have rambled a lot ie, vented, but what should I do. I'm not hopeful that this will result an invisible fix. I have already paid lots of $'s and feel like I'm about ready to lose it graemlins/sad.gif .

Maybe one of those paint-less dent removal places could do something ? I have never used them but, I know people who have used them with good results.

I don't have any experience with dent removal on glass like black paint, maybe it will be ok, I sure hope so. I think I will take a trip to the shop today to see what's going on.
