Hi!

Would you use an electrical water pump on the streets?? I've heard many things about reliability, overheating, etc...

A constant volume pump would be okay if you never exceed the volume requirements. At idle and slow speed driving you would be just fine, but if you start making some power for an extended period of time you could be in trouble.

If it is a street and occasional strip car there is no reason to get one, just another thing to break, blow a fuse or leave ya stranded. Spend the $$ on something else and keep it simple.

I have an electric water pump on my Caprice, and it works great!

I have one. Their only real benfit is being able to cool the engine down faster between rounds at the dragstrip. I think it depends on a lot of things, your combo, the type of driving you do and how often, and where you live. I wouldn't want one a mostly street car.
