I'm in the process of restoring my 1965 Chevelle Convertible. I'm missing the screws that hold the headlight bezel to the front fender. The screw number is 3858499. Does anyone know the dimensions of this screw? My assembly book doesn't list the size. Thanks.

3858499 is 1/4" X 20 thread X 1/2"L Cross Recessed Fillister Head
superceeds (07-'69) to use 132255 ,same dimensions but with single slot Fillister head.
132255 is still a good GM part number.

Thanks Shooter. I tried a 1/4-20 screw in the holes, but they wouldnt thread in on any of the 4 holes (2 on each fender). I'll try a little harder this time. I"ll also pick up the substitutes you mentioned until I can get the originals. Thanks for the info.
