Thinking about purchasing an infrared temp gun - a fairly inexpensive one if at all possible.

Anyone have one and know how hot the exhaust manifolds/headers get?

Just need to enusre the unit I get has enough range.

I have an EGT kit. It measures exhaust temperature. I forget what range it should be but mine runs around 1470-1520 depending on the weather. The richer it it the higher the temp can get. It can also do the same with being lean.
