I just bought a 4 inch lift-off fiberglass cowl hood for my 68 chevelle. Now im tryin to figure out how im gunna make this thing stay on...I'm wondering if i buy 4 hood pins from summit racing, 2 for the front and 2 for the rear, will it work? Does my radiator core support have provisions for the front ones? I was going to make a bracket that bolts where the hood hinges should be for the rear ones.. If anyone knows anything more than i do (not much), I'd much appretiate the help! graemlins/beers.gif graemlins/thumbsup.gif

I welded the nuts to the car to make it easier, but you could put the jam nuts on the bottem if you prefer. I also used a few carrige bolts as stops to adjust the height. Its still a bit flimsy but it works ok. I may add 2 more pins in the back, 1 on each side of the scoop for better support.
