I have a 396 block that mostly has surface rust but the cylinders don't look too bad. I just had it hot tanked and the cylinders bored 30. The hot-tanking removed some of the rust but I am taking it home to remove the rest of the rust. Any suggestions on what to use? I would post pictures if I knew how.

I'd squirt metal prep on it and let it eat the rust up followed by a drill with a rotary wire brush to finish it off.
