My 1970 Chevelle SS396 arrived recently with the AC belt removed. I installed a new one tonight in the hopes of getting the AC charged tomorrow. Much to my surprise, the compressor makes an awful noise. Even worse, the belt keeps twisting over after revving the engine a little. It is tight. Looks like the power steering pump is misaligned, and the belt partially rides on it. Any ideas on how to fix? Never had this problem before....Thanks!
