I am about to order all new rubber for my 70, and am pricing them out through OPGI and Danchuk, both companies are farely close in price, and was wondering if anyone has had any good or bad luck with either company. Also for the hood to cowl seal, they make rubber or foam, the foam being more expensize, any thoughts which is better. If any has any suggestions on another company to order through any help would be greatly appreciated!!

Go with Metro brand regardless of where you buy it. I put A&M SoffSeal on the doors of my '66 Chevelle and had to SLAM doors to get them to shut. I changed them out this past weekend with Metro Gold and doors shut perfect without any adjustment. I bought mine from Hinshaw's. You can find them at www.hinshawschevelle.com (http://www.hinshawschevelle.com) Great price and a pleasure to deal with. Danchuk and OPGI have good products. I find OPGI a little high on shipping costs. Alot of their stuff for some reason must be shipped oversize where other companies it is not. You can also find a Metro dealer at www.metrommp.com (http://www.metrommp.com) Hope this helps

I agree with using metro. I put soffseal on my Camaro and you have to slam the doors to get them to fully latch. And they have been on the car for 4 years! Also the door adjustments had not been altered from when the factory seals were on the car.....the doors shut perfectly then. I used metro on an El Camino I built and the doors shut perfect. I am sold just my two cents! :D

Glad I read this post. I thought I was going nuts with mine. I installed softseal on my 67 and had the same issue, SLAM THE DOOR! When I do my 70, no softseal.

Thanks guys!

I've spent over $1000 with OPGI and I am not impressed with the quality of their stuff. I recently posted on here about OPGI interior kit. The headliner wasn't the same pattern. The sill plates didn't fit right. The arm rest covers are foam and not material covered like the originals. I will also stay away from SofSeal. Thanks Guys!!

2 wrongs don't make a right but 3 lefts do!!
