: rant before i go to sleep.
esponet Jun 7th, 06, 2:17 AM sorry for ranting, but this bothered me earlier.
ok so i was sitting in the parking lot outside my kids karate school. just chiling there waiting for him, talking to my wife on the phone.
low and behold, some lady (bout 40ish to 50ish) backed into my car. luckily i was driving the rabbit. it was a pretty good jolt, so i have no doubt she felt it too.
i stepped outside to look at the damage, and there was none really. i was not mad at all at this point. and would not be mad even if there was damage, sure she did not meant it. but what started to get me upset was, she did not even got out of her car. i stood there looking like an idiot looking at my car, looking at her, waiting for her to get out. then finally (about 5 min later) i stepped back in the car told my wife what just happend. thats when the lady got out, walked pass me, (walking really fast) she got pass me, thats when i told her, "you should watch were your going" she just looked at me and said sorry. did not even asked if i was ok, if the car was ok, did not even stopped walking. i was really tempted to yell at this "b"eyeitch. but i figured nothing happened and why make a scene.
some people who saw what happned was just shaking their head.
You should have called the cops. Putting up with it just causes it to keep happening. next thing you know she'll be like this:

theclencher Jun 7th, 06, 6:36 AM Ohhh ho man! I think that was the highest highlight of that whole doggone series! Even funnier for me, with that Tempo involved! ROFLMAO! :D
Bowtieguys Jun 7th, 06, 7:30 AM My neck and my back...(think LS6 convertible). JOKE LOL
bisjoe Jun 7th, 06, 8:04 AM That is a great vid. My mother in law is too old to drive now, but she had a Tempo. Her method for parallel parking (I swear) was to bump into the car in back, then bump into the one in front, then back up a bit.
Andy69 Jun 7th, 06, 8:43 AM haha I laughed my ** off! Clencher was that your Tempo?
theclencher Jun 7th, 06, 10:23 AM No- mine looks just a litttttttle bit better...
Dean Jun 7th, 06, 10:52 AM Someday maybe when you're on the other end you will understand.
I mean she obviously knew you or the car couldn't have gotten hurt from bumping into you, what else could she do except say "I'm sorry".
(don't ask me how I know)
Dan72 Jun 7th, 06, 11:38 AM Not to belittle what happened to you, but I liked the video also. Especially when they were charging each other at the end and she got passed by the woman with the shopping cart. LOL
People are ignorant. I could tell you stories...had a real winner this morning. But people just don't seem to care any more.
Nolowrider Jun 7th, 06, 11:53 AM Esponet-I know what you mean. Things like that have happened to me before. The last one I was sitting in my vehicle and someone pulled up next to me (parking space) opened their door and dinged mine. I got out to take a look ans saw an obvious ding. The "A-hole" didn't even get out at first until I start yelling at him. He said "it is just a little ding" and that I needed to relax. I was furious.
Another time we were returning home from a Mardi Gras parade and some drunk was being a jerk in bumper to bumper traffic by squealing his tires. I had been watching him for awhile and he eventually rear ended me. I got out in traffic, surveyd the damage and proceded to drag him out of his car through his window (after he failed to exit on his own). I didn't know that there was a police officer watching to whole thing. He arrived, gave to jerk a field sobriety test and took him to jail for DUI. I really thought I was going to for dragging him through his window. But, I didn't the police just laughed at me, shaking his head.
Sorry for my rant.

She could have owned up to the responsibility, gotten outta the car, appoligized and offered to pay for any damage.
I think in a situation like this it should be legal to take the cell phone out of her hand and beat her over the head with it. Wait a minute....was she on the phone....LOL
NiteOwlNY Jun 7th, 06, 12:40 PM I sat at my apartment window one day when I lived in the city watching a lady ram my car trying to get into a parking spot. It wasn't like she tapped it, she rammed it.... I was in utter disbelief.

I call it Andy's Postulate: People will lie, cheat and steal to the extent that they BELIEVE they can get away with it.

Alwhite00 Jun 7th, 06, 10:05 PM I had a guy back into my truck (painted bumpers no less) and he got out & went into the store. He came back out & I ripped into him, He said "that's why they put bumpers on cars" I was ready to drill him!
