I think I have something hooked up incorrectly on my new 67 Chevelle restoration and really need help, folks.

I accidently struck the horn relay with a screwdriver recently while under the hood and sparks flew everywhere. The screwdriver also stuck to the relay like it was a magnet and I had to really jerk the screwdriver away hard to separate it (this is right behind the windshield washer container location). The car cranks OK and the lights work, etc.

This is dangerous and can't be hooked up right. Thanks for any help!

The case of the relay should be isolated from the connections, especially the lead to the battery. Perhaps the lead to the battery is touching the case? Like I said, one wire runs to the battery, so if you grounded that wire with a screw driver, you could see sparks. If no wires are touching the relay case and the case is hot, buy a new relay. It's unlikely, but is the rad support hot? Then something might not be hooked up correctly.

Search for a diagram on this site and make sure you have all connections correct. If you're running an Ammeter instead of a volt meter, that connection is a little tricky.

Do a search on "wiring diagram'. There are a couple of good ones out there.
