I'm redoing the fuzzies on my '71 malibu 2door. How do I get access to the rear quarter window mounting? I'm stuck on removing the side panel - It's being held down towards the back by a long plastic strip adjacent to the seat back. Do I need to remove the seat to get access to this? How would I do that?

Yes you do. Start on the bottom butt part of the seat. With the front seats slid all the way foreword take a knee and push on the front of the butt part towards the rear of the car and lift up at the same time. There are 2 clips the hold the bottom into place one on each side. After that is out you will see 2 bolts that hold the back part of the seat. Remove both bolts and lift the back part straight up for removal. This will gain you access to the sides and you should be good to go.
