I'm painting some interior parts with vinyl paint. Is it suppose to have some type of sealer on top such as clear coat for vinyl paint or is there such a thing? Won't it chip off easily without anything?

I used the aerosol dye and it soaks in, it doesnt just sit on the top, but yet the color isnt affected by the original color. My seats were black and i taped off and painted green stripes. I bought two colors because i wasnt sure what they would look like and one turned out to be a goldish green, very light, and it still covered the black without changing colors. I tested it on a spare peace and scratched at it for a long time and it wouldnt scratch, peal, or chip. I didnt use any sealer i just made sure to clean it really well.I bought a product called vinly prep from opg when i bought the dye. Couldnt be happier.
