Ok...so I read Wes' reference section on Aftermarket Gauges. It says to mount the sending unit on the intake manifold. This sounds good to me, as it makes the installation all the easier. But, I have an aluminum intake and stock 307 heads. Since aluminum dissapates heat better than the cast, will this still give me a true reading?
TIA!

I had my sending unit mounted in the driver side head but I moved it because I suspected that the headers where messing it up. I moved it onto the intake where the heater hose goes (T brass fitting). It didn't affect the reading of the sender at all. I don't think the intake could dump enough heat out of the water to make a difference, it didn't affect mine so don't worry about it.
