There should be two vacuume tubs that pass through the firewall. One, black, is the vacuum source it connects to a volume tank mounted on the side of the A/C suit case then to a fitting on the intake manifold. The second, white tube, connects to the water valve. Under the dash at the control head is the vacuum control valve. When the top lever is moved to the "MAX" position the manifold vacuum is applied to the water valve, the fresh inlet plenum valve and the recirc air valve, green tube. Closing the water valve and blocking the hot water flow to the heater core, closing the fresh air or outside air valve in the cowl plenum and opens the recirc air valve. The inside air is now recalculated across the A/C evaporator for max A/C.
