I have my Megablower on the 68 now. I am going to get the local body shop to cut out the hood as I have it outlined. What is a reasonable charge to expect for this service, and can it be done without damaging the paint? Thanks

Damage to paint? Probly so.If they use masking tape and draw the line over it maybe not. Price would be 35 to 75 bucks.

Bob,

I'm also building a 68 with the megablower!

Do you have any pics you can forward me?...

I still have the front clip off my car, and the engine out. I just want a sample of what it'll look like when she's finished!

I spoke with a guy at the shop my car is in.. He does Primo work and said that if you use duct tape to outline the cut out, and the person doing the cutting is GOOD you should have minimal damage that you can cover with a (door guard) type protectant around the sharp edge.. Price wise I didn't get into.. but I would venture too say in the 100-150 dollar range for time too complete the work.. I would say that is a 2-4 hour job which I have reflected in the price.
