Vintage Air " Sure Fit " system. Closer to a sure fit than anything else.

Uh... Ok... yeah.

I am in the process of doing an A/C retro-fit into a '68. I started with a VA Sure-fit and one of these days I am going to get off my butt and sell it on Ebay.

The actual system I will install is a Classic Air Perfect Fit system. At least in my '68 it fits much better than the VA. It is also better suited to some of the modifications I am doing for things like fresh air.

Of course YMMV.

I have been thinking of getting one of the VA Mark IV's (http://www.vintageair.com/products2005.asp). Their web site doesn't list the price, but someone said that it's in the $300 range. It's not the optimal solution, but it suits my budget and should be pretty easy to install compared to a "built-in" system. Looks kinda cool (no pun intended...) as well. Just have to check the dimensions to make sure there's room for it between the dash and the transmission hump.

I've been thinking about putting air in my 67 also, although it's too late to start it this year. Do a search in this section "vintage air vs classic air". Lots of opinions, but ????
