I am parting out a badly rusted plain jain 1970 Chevelle (13437). I pulled the rear seat back off and found to my surprise two buildsheets. One of the buildsheets was just stuck between the seat springs in the middle of the seat back. The other one however was almost completely hidden on the left edge of the seat back between the upholstery and the seat frame. It was even hog ringed in two places on the edge. This was a Kansas car built 02B.

Did the department upholsterying the seats have their own copy of the buildsheet to tell them what type of upholstery to put on the seat? Maybe this is how it ended up there. This car still had the original upholstery so I don't think it had ever been fooled with.

Take a good look at your seatback if you have not been able to find a buildsheet because it could be hidden in this same place. I just wanted to pass that information on.

There were multiple copies of the build sheet sent to different departments; interior was just one and apparently from past post experience the most apt to leave the build sheet in the car.

My Atlanta car had 1 behind the front door panel (driver side I think), 1 folded up in the front seat springs, and 1 in the rear seat. To bad it's only a 307 Malibu and not a LS 6...

My LS5 Atlanta built car had the obligatory one on the door panel, and one tucked into the lower part of the front bucket seat, back where the piece of cardboard goes.
