Hello guys

I am new to the chevelle scene my father and I are rebuilding a 1971 Chevelle Malibu. Which year and model car control arms could I interchange with my 71. We are planning to interchange the whole front end. Any advice is greatly appreciated.

thanks a bunch

Isnt it true that with a later model car you can take curves. Your car turns instead of pushing throught the curve. I believe your wheels fold under somewhat? Im not sure if it is true or not though. Any suggestions would help or is that even what i should do, swap with a later car like a TA,camaro or firebird?

thanks B.

I wouldn't even consider swapping. If you want to change the front geometry for improved handling, it'll take a lot more than a simple "swap" of parts from another car.

Do a serach on this site and you will find much to read. In the end, you will find that there are some improvements you can make like these http://www.scandc.com/spcarms.htm.

But these old cars were not designed to be corner carvers. They are what they are, 35 year old styling and production car manufacturing. If you want modern handling, buy a modern car. If you want improved handling of your 71, do a search here and READ.

Look down about 6-7 topics at the thread I started titled "Lets Talk Suspension/Brakes" The guys on this site have helped a ton with me figuring out stuff.
