I have a 67 Malibu with a small block and would like to mount a fan shroud to the radiator. The car did not come with a shroud and I've spent about an hour doing a search on this. I've found several people that wanted to mount a fan shroud on a small block 67, and were having problems mounting it. No answers were forthcoming, so this is a plea, in hopes of finding someone that has accomplished this.

I am not sure what type of shroud you are looking to put on. I installed one of these:

from goodmark and it bolted right up to the front of the radiator. Four new bolts and I was done. What exactly are you having a problem with?

I bought an aftermarket shroud about 6-8 years ago. To the best of my memory, it didn't fit because the brackets on the side of the radiator for mounting, are L-shape, and only have flanges facing forward to mount the rad to the support. It would seem I need U-shaped brackets to mount the radiator to the support and to mount the shroud to the brackets. I have had this car since 12/66, and this is the way it came. I have seen other threads by 67 Chevelle owners w/ 283's, and they seem to have the same problem. Is your eng a 283?

Nope, I have a 350. But the radiator that came with the car had U shaped brackets on either side so that the radiator could be mounted to the support on one side and the shroud on the other. I am not familiar with what the stock radiator looked like on this car, but if you don't mind a little modification you could have a bracket tacked to the engine side of the radiator to mount the shroud to. I am not sure how else you would mount it. Sorry, not much help.

I have a 67 Malibu with a 283 and factory AC... If I get a chance I'll take soem pics tomorrow and post them.... the car is 90% original... I did remove the smog pupm though . . . .

i think there is a band bracket that goes around the radiator or a bracket on each side fits 64-67 so you can mount to that
