I plan to replace some of my weatherstripping to keep water out of my '71. I see 1aauto on ebay a lot. Also saw an ad for "Steele Rubber" (Steelerubber.com).
Anybody have experience with their products, or another choice they recommend.
I'm looking for functionality, not originality.
Many thanks,
mark.

Soff Seal & Steel Rubber seem to be the major players. But I don't think they are the only ones out there. I am researching this too.
I got a quote from Steel Rubber that is probably not all the pieces I need ....and not cheap. Neither is Soff Seal though.
I am still searching for the best buy ...but quality has to be #1.
I am hoping that someone with experience can enlighten us on this as well.
Steve

My opinions are usually worth what they cost you. But once in a while I know what I am talking about. Humor, fun, a few new friends, and good ole knowledge of these classics are why I am here. Your mileage may vary. ACES # 04981

I have used them all for chevelles and I believe Metro is the best by far. Softseal is way to hard and the general appearence of the seal is not as nice as the Metro stuff.

You won't have to slam your doors, and the windows roll up like they should when you use Metro. It's the best I've used.

I used Soft Seal thinking that would be a quality product but have found that my door seals are leaking. I have them adjusted properly but still have a problem. GRRRRR!!!

Elcaminos are special!
I'd rather walk around with a Chevrolet hubcap in my hand than drive a Ford
