Just wondering if all big block heads came factory with guide plates? Or were only some avaliable? If so which engines/heads came with guide plates and which did not?

Also on engines with factory guide plates did they come with stainless steel push rods or chromeolys?

I think they all have guide plates except for the old pre-BB, "W" engines, the 348", 409" and 427"..

Hhhmm....I wasn't sure if only the hipo heads/hipo engines came with them only or not. My heads and engine are the '70 L34 engine, which is the 350 hp version.

I was curious if the 325 version of the 396 had guide plates from the factory or not. I wouldn't suppose the old 366 truck blocks had guide plates?
