HELP... I can not get my seat reinstalled into my car, It was just recover and the seat back goes in fine but the seat bottom will not go in far enough to lock in I can get it to about 1 inch before it will drop and lock. I took seat back out and test fit perfect. reinstall with the seat back higher as high as the slot adjustment will let it go, and it wont fit the lip that goes under the back seat seams to be hitting the frame that the back seat bottom gets attached to the floor. I know these are a tight fit but this seam a bit excessive and input would be great I only have 4 more days to my dead line for cruising :) ....and yes I am pushing down and banging the front of the seat at the same time.....

It's been a while since I did mine, but I remember it was a pain. I had someone else help, and between the two of us we got it done.

I made a simple tool to help with my rear seat removal and installation. I took a piece of 1 inch PVC pipe and notched the end. It gave me good leverage and allowed me to push the wire into and out of the tab that holds the rear seat in.

Not a bad idea I am going to have to make one of those tools since I have to take the seats out again !!!!!!!

Yeah...removing/installing a rear seat base can be a pain at times. :(

Check the wire that goes into the holder on the floor to make sure it's not bent up too far. I had a really hard time getting my back seat in. One side wouldn't click in. When I look up under, I saw that the wire seat frame was bent. Once I bent it back (easier said than done) it went right in.

Hi:

Is it easier to take the back of the rear seat out first before the bottom cushion. Really having a time with it. Getting ready for blasting...

I always use a long flatblade screwdriver to kick the lower cushion wire in & out of the floor mounted catch-works well for me :)

The back of the seat may be bolted to the floor. You need to remove the seat bottom to get the back out.

Try the tool I described above...pops right out and back in again.
