Need some advice on two areas.

Photo #9 & #11 if you go to the photo's in my sig.

Photo number 9 shows the passenger side quarter actually bending around a little too far where it goes into the door jamb area. It should be a 90, but if you look closely you can see where it should be (steel pointer) and where it is. Not a super good photo but maybe you can see it. It was previously filled to make it a 90. Should I just leave it, or fill it?

#11 shows where the driver's side quarter was previously damaged. The quarter is still kind of "short" and was fixed previously in a collision shop by adding a considerable amount of filler to the end of the quarter where the taillight housing bolts on. Can I pull this out a little more at home, maybe "stretch the metal with a body hammer and dolly", or will I need a frame type puller?

Thanks!

Mike

Go to where it says, "327 build up and body bending photos:" on my signature. Click where it says "327 pics" It will take you to a Yahoo photo album.

Hard to see but what kind of filler build up we talking here?

What excatly is the problem that makes the quarter "short"? i guess how do you see thats it short, does the quarter ext have a gap between it and the quarter when bolted up?

I just think some more info is needed...Eric

I just think some more info is needed...Eric I'm thinking that the quarter is short because there are is a minor fold and some shallow compound dents. This is keeping the panel from being its original lenght much like a sheet of tin foil that is crinkled up and then straightened most - but not all of the way. The would be a gap between the quarter and the extension because the rear flange is not perfectly straight. The extension would also not be rearward enough due to the fact that the panel is "short"
