this is my first time here and I really hope someone can give me some helpful suggestions. I have a 1970 chevelle malibu (a virgin), untouched, no modification, exactly how she was when she rolled off the assembly line.
somebody got mad and punched my windshield, from the inside, and it has become a spider web crack on the passenger side.
The windshield feels smooth to the touch on the inside and outside of the crack, so i guess it's in between the inside and outside glass.
Is there any way to fix it without having to replace the whole windshield?

How long is the crack? On some small cracks, things can be fixed. Take it to a local glass place and they should be able to help you out. If it is too bad, it isn't worth trying to save. Get a new one. New glass won't take away from the originality of the car in my opinion.

it's a spider crack, it's branching out, it's getting pretty bad.

Sorry to say, you are going to have to replace the windshield.

You can get date coded glass but it kind of pricey. I don't have link but if you use the search function you might find the info. Good Luck

You can try Pilkingtons 1-800-848 1351, I think they get around 325.00 for a date coded windshield.Sorry for the bad luck.

If you buy a PPG windshield from your local glass shop, it shouldn't cost more than $175 installed.
I'd guess the glass is about $110 max.

I wouldn't buy LOF glass. It won't make your car any more valuable and it's probably not worth the added cost.

I hope you punched them back and put a spider web crack in their forehead
