My 68 heater core is cracked and leaking at the fire wall. Made the common mistake in replacing an aging hose of first pulling on the hose instead of cutting it off. The Haynes repair manual I use covers 69-87 Chevelles and describes the removal of the blower motor by first removing the fender well. Ugh! Searches of Chevelle Tech also produced fender removal on 66 -67's and A/C models on 70's.
Can someone advise?

dont remove the fender-well OR the blower motor! just take off those hoses, take out the 4 nuts, and open up that door. Heater core is right there. I put mine in my 68 this way, no problems at all. Just make sure u put some armor-all or something in the hose when u put them on the new core, so they slide on easy
