i have (2) 67 malibu`s that don`t have a body cushion or hardware just ahead of the rear wheel, and close to where the lower control arm attaches to the frame.
there is a nut in the brace and a hole in the frame but no cushion or hardware. these frames have never been out. is this used on the super sport ?

All I can say is my Super Sport has them in there from the factory. As far as Malibu's I'm not sure, but I'd say yes they should have them to.

DITTO to that. only conv had extra body bushings and ALL chevelles had the bushing at the rear of the frame on both sides in proximity of the lower rear control arm.

The Malibu SB 2dr HT shares the body and frame with the SS BB. This cushion location is usually BB only. When you order a mount kit for a 64-67 HT you need to order a BB suplemental kit for the 2 extra mounts.

i hear what you are saying and thanks for the input.i would like to add i am the second owner of these two original cars and am 100% sure there was no cushion or bolt from the factory. would like to hear from other non supersport owners about this location ontheir cars.

rusty66 is right, I just pulled the body off of the frame and I had two body bolts there I had to remove. I know hardtop don't.
