My rearend is misslocated, it sits 3/4" to right is there a way to adjust this or wasn´t the tolerances smaller?

Make sure the body is on the frame straight.

Factory tolerances weren't real tight, but they weren't usually off by that much.

Sounds like something is bent or way, way off. What are you using for the rear suspension, stock parts or something else? Did you have any of the mounting ears welded to the rear end housing? Also, what are you measuring to? Is one of the tires hanging out of the wheelwell? Could be a wheel problem, too.

I was being silly, although you could crank it over 3/4" fairly easily.

There are dozens of reasons the axle could be out of alignment. You will need to determine if the body is out of posiiton, the frame is bent, or the axle is really shifted to one side. Lots of careful measurements are in order.

I agree that it could fix it, but it definitely wouldn't be the right way to fix it. Sorry I didn't catch on to the silliness :clonk:

The controlarms are boxed orginal stuff. When I bought the car it had a 10 bolt rear and factory rims and the missmatch was 3/4". I changed the rear(shortened Chevelle 70 12 bolt) and boxed the arms last winter. Also changed the rims to weld wheels pro star. Putted on some old Bfg 235/60-15 just to look if I could run 255 or 275 tires. If the rear was located in the middle I could run 255 without problem. But as it looks now they will rubb the wheel lip on the right side and the frame on the left side. Have meassured from frame to tire and from wheellip to tire and as far as I can see the rear is misslocated 3/4". By the way used two different sets of controlarms and have same results also same with two different rears? Had same problem on my last chevelle to, tires rubbed the frame on one side, on that one it was more 1 1/4" misslocated. But that car was in worse condition(rust that had been poorly fixed) then the one I own now.
