I decided I might spend money and buy new steel for body patches. Getting tired of cleaning and cutting up old body panels for steel patches. What gages are you using 24 or 22 or really thick stuff that bites to bend?

I use 20 awg for most repair/patch panels.

Dave, Ill second the 20 gauge for most uses. If this would be for your 65 fender I might step up to 22 just becuase it would be a bit easier to bend especially around that wheel well lip. Good luck...Eric graemlins/waving.gif

Eric, you remembered about that little spot. Those are the areas where I just got tired of trying to clean both parts just to make one patch. I will need to find someone with a beader for the back area of the wagon.
