I just picked up some SEM black landau paint to dust on my 70 dash.

I will be spraying it tomorrow hopefully.

If I like the color I was wondering if it could also be used on the METAL pillars that run up along the windshield?

I did my pillar posts on my 70 with the SEM. One thing I did find though, the SEM will not stick good to bare metal. I first primed the metal, then sprayed the SEM. It turned out very nice. Also did my steering column with it. Good luck.

You can use it but use primer like BBJ said!

My body guy sprayed them yesterday. All of the metal on the car has been stripped and coated with epoxy first, so they just needed a quick scuff and wipedown.

He said they came out nice and the SEM went on the dash "like butter"! We had cleaned it really well first and wiped it down with Omni cleaner so the paint didn't react in anyway.

I can't wait to see the pieces Monday!

Now I need to try my hand at painting the silver with a Krylon leafing pen that was recommended.
