Any advice on painting SS wheels ('69-'70). They are in pretty good shape with minor rust. I plan to bead blast them. My main concern is rust coming back out through the seam area on the wheel where bead blasting will not be able to penetrate. Should one apply POR-15 to this area, to prevent this? Or will the rattle car sprays prevent the rust from coming back? :confused:

From my experience, ground glass as a media gets into the tight spots better than anything.

Mine were blasted and I didn't see the need to apply POR-15, so I just used self-etching primer and rattle can paint. I really don't expect to see it coming back, but I did consider body caulking the seams front and rear. Decided it would look bad so didn't.
