: sbc 327 with short water pump - do I have the wrong crank pulley

I have bought a set of pulleys for the waterpump (2groove) and crank (3 groove) online (ebay deal). I got what is supposed to be a setup for a sbc with a short waterpump. I have an alignment issue with the lower crank pulley as it is forward of the waterpump pulley by about one inch. I was wondering if anyone knows if the pulley grooves are supposed to align the same (inner/first groove on the waterpump to align with inner/first groove on the crank pulley)? or are they to be offset (second groove on the waterpump align with inner/first groove on the crank pulley)?

Assuming they are to be aligned first groove to first groove, then I think I may have receive the wrong lower crank pulley (maybe it is actually for a long waterpump).

Should I get a different pulley?

I should mention, the mounting flange is not flush with the first groove, it is dished inward (toward motor) an inch or so, that is why i think it is for a long water pump.
Thanks,

There is a pulley matrix over at Little Brother, (Team Camaro), that might help you out??

That sound like a lwp crank pulley. The swp one is almost flat on the back side.

Thanks - that is exactly what I thought (lwp due to flange offset).
I contacted the place where I bought it - hopefully they will take care of me.
