This may be a dumb question, but I'll ask anyway. I painted my 66's dash with PPG's black Acrylic Urethane mixed with flattener to get 60% gloss. After painting, I noticed a few dirt specs in the paint. It's probably not too noticable, but I was wondering, if I were to wet sand the dash and then buff it out would I still have 60% gloss? I'm guessing I wouldn't. Would the same situation apply if I were to wax the dash for protection?

I don't think you can scuff and buff flattened paint and still have it semi gloss. Wax too may shine it more than you want.

Dave, Thank you for the response, that was what I figured. I guess I'll sand it smooth and respray it. The more I look at it, the more it bothers me!!
