I purchased a set of reproduction Rear Arm Rest Panels for my 70 last week. I did not expect them to be an exact match to the originals, but I am a bit disappointed. The ashtray does not fit very well; it is very loose and can be easily pulled out. Also, none of the front mounting holes are drilled or even marked.

Does anyone else have any experience with the repo panels?

I may just be returning them and searching for some used originals.

I had the same problem on my last Chevelle. There are usually sets on ebay that can be picked up cheap and dyed to whatever color that you want.

I also believe that the repro's do not have the molded in stitching on the panels as original (1970)

I was going to purchase, realize that, then dyed the originals.

Yeah, I've started looking on eBay. I did return the repros. And no, the repros do not have the stitching like the originals.

Phil, I sent you an email. Thanks!
