Do you guys love. I'm just sitting here at work and day dreaming of next project. I'm not even 1/4 of the way done with the velle, but i've always LOVED the look of the '50 or '51 Chevy. I'm not too familiar with the years and body styles, but pretty much anything pre '60's would be a helluva hot rod to me.

Check this truck out on ebay, something like that i would love.

What about you guys? Any truck lovers out there?

I really like the 67-72 Chevy pickups. Classic lines, well designed and solid.

That '53 is gorgeous! I would love that with a little more rim, red paint and tan interior.

Bryan, that's a beautiful '59. Hopefully mine will look like that one day. Right now it's dull black with a 283/TH350 and Cragars. I've always been partial to these trucks as well as the "64-66 models.

I like '55 - '56, myself. My dad has a '58, going to be converted to a '57 front end. They were my "car I was gonna own" when I was a little kid. By brother wanted a '57 Chev (car) and I wanted a '55 or '56 truck.

I am partial to the 84-87 full size 4x4, I think the front clip is just mean looking. But for a street rod truck I have dreams of building a 53 chevy flat black w/ a big block. Hopefully I will get one at my next duty station.

There isn't a year of Chevy trucks I don't like. My favorites would be:

1937, 1956, 1965, 1968, 1983, 1991 (Suburban), and 1996-1999. If they go with the 2007 Tahoe/Suburban grille in the pickups for 2007, 2008, I'll like them too. :)

Currently owned:

I also have a 49 in the yard that has been in the family since the 50's Not enough there to restore but it makes a great yard ornament  :D

I like the tri-five 55-57 models. But the 68-72 are pretty nice. Actually. I think Chevrolet has done a nice job on every body style they have came out with.

'63-'66 body style is my favorite. I'd love to restore one for daily driving and sell my new GMC Sierra. Put a fuel-injected small block in it and an overdrive tranny. Getting more expensive to find a solid one. I've seen some junk out there for nearly $10k asking price.

Nice truck, Rich. I'm partial to the 67-72's, had a '71 stepside for a few years. Was a rusty beater work truck, went from l6/3 on the tree to a 305/saggy 4-speed to a 331/ST-10, to stripped/crushed. :( Had manual disc/drum brakes, manual steering (w/275-60's on front), 13" Grant steering wheel. Nobody ever asked to borrow it, after they watched me drive it. :D But I pulled a trailer with it half the time I drove to work with it, and could park that thing better than most people can park their cars. ;)

Thats a helluva truck you built there hbcruiser! Do you ever take that out anymore? I'd love to see that in person. I live by South Coast, so i'm not too far. Let me know whenever you plan on taking out to a show or something.

Good to see there's lots of truck lovers on here also. Keep the pics coming!

I love the 68-72 the most... but I also like the 73-87s...
I have my dad's old 1980 SWB that will be my next project, not a spec of rust anywhere!!
