while replacing the inner fenders on my '69 I noticed that the front body bushings are shot. Would it make sense to replace just the front ones (I don't want to do the whole job now)? How do I lift the body off the frame? Thanks,
Paul

It would probably be OK to only do the front set, but its not all that much harder to do them all.....unless you are in an area where the bolts, nuts & frame have rusted into one piece.
1- Soak the bolts with a penetrating oil (PB BLaster, liquid wrench) several times over several days before you start.
2- You MAY need to disconnect things from the body which mount on the frame - steering gear, transmission linkage, etc.
3- Loosen all bolts.
4- Raise one side of the car at a time. I used a floor jack under the floor pan (with a piece of 2X8 to spread the load).
5- I'm probably missing something obvious - Do a search (upper right side of this page) and you will find plenty of good info.
