I need to Heli-coil a stripped hole and the parts store didnt carry the heli-coil in the right size but another one carried "Perma-coil". Anyone have any luck with this brand and is it as good as heli-coil??

Yes...the parts distributor I worked for for 24 yrs. carried the Perma line.
They are every bit as good as a Helicoil...only less expensive!

The taps do not seem to hold up as well as the Heli-Coil stuff but I see no difference in the quality of the inserts at all, have a drawer full of them..
