I have been seeing some resto project pictures and it looked like some are using undercoating or something like it on the interior floor pans and on the floor board and underdash. I assume it is for sound deadning. Has anybody done this and how did it work out for you. I have my interior stripped down am wondering about doing this.

It was like a thick tar paper. You can get it from Hinshaw's or Ground Up might have it.

There's also a coating "Lizard Skin". Its for both heat and sound.

I "coated" my floorbords with POR-15, then used the "tar paper". You can see pics on my "bodywork" link below....
